Biography:
Mike starred in hockey, lacrosse and baseball as a youth before coming to Queen&#;s University in , where he earned 15 varsity letters and was named a football all-star each year he played.
In a career that spanned more than half a century, Mike was part of all the major sports of the time.
Mike excelled as a player, coach and official in football, hockey, lacrosse and baseball, refereeing 2, hockey games (1, of them in the National Hockey League) and coaching football teams to 27 championships, including two Grey Cups.

Michael James Rodden (April 24, – January 11, ) was a Canadian sports journalist, National Hockey Leaguereferee, and Canadian football coach, and was the first person elected to both the Hockey Hall of Fame () and the Canadian Football Hall of Fame ().
He was an older brother of ice hockey player Eddie Rodden.
Biography
[edit]Born in Mattawa, Ontario, Rodden officiated in 1, National Hockey League games.[1] As a football coach, he led the Hamilton Tigers to Grey Cup championships in and The Mike Rodden Arena and Community Centre in Mattawa is named in his honour.[1]
Rodden's primary occupation was sports journalist.[2] He started working at the Toronto Globe (now The Globe and Mail) as a reporter in , rising to sports editor ten years later.
