Marianne Farley (born Marianne Therien in Montreal, Quebec) is a Canadian actress and director, best known for her roles as Gem Whitman in Imaginaerum, Nicole Breen in This Life, Dillan Vanderson in Vampire High and Stella and Nancy in The Intruder.
Early life
[edit]Marianne Farley grew up in Quebec.[1] She is bilingual (English and French). Her family was an artistic family that made a lot of music. So Farley started to sing from a very young age. When she was 19 she met a couple with their own record company. She worked together with them to release the single Histoire sans prénom and a music album.[2] Several songs of hers made it into the top [3] She signed a record contract in France, where the album was never released.[4] Later Farley wanted to become an actress.[3] So she went to several workshops and learned acting.[2]
Career
[edit]In Farley played Stella and Nancy Brooke in The Intruder.[5]

Marianne Farley is a director/screenwriter, producer, and actress from Montreal, Canada. Fully bilingual, she has performed in a variety of projects in Canada, the U.S., and even Finland. Her work in television includes Heroes Reborn (NBC), This Life (CBC), (Bravo), The Dead Zone, Le Gentleman, and Les Invincibles. In film, she has played in, among others, La Peau Blanche (Best First Feature film award at the TIFF, and Claude Jutras award at the Genie Awards), Christmas Choir, Imaginaerum, and Uvanga.
More than ready to bring her artistic vision to the next level, in she began working on personal directorial projects. Her first short film, RANSACK/Saccage was selected by numerous film festivals throughout the world and her second critically acclaimed short film MARGUERITE has won, up to now, over forty awards around the globe.
